After a new area type has been created, the service specifications or the corresponding cleaning process can be activated.
Activate service specifications on area types
To do this, navigate to the cleaning process and select the Area types tab. Here you will find a list with all the area types of the economic entity.
Clicking on the name of an area type or at the end of the line on the three dots-menu and then on Edit opens the following view:
In a first step, the switch buttons can be used to activate the categories that contain the activity types that must be provided on the respective area type. As soon as the categories are activated, the activity types can be activated.
Subsequently, the frequency of the activity type can be defined. In addition to the frequency, it is also possible to specify whether the activity types must be performed on a certain day of the week.

In addition to the performance numbers on the area type, additional service numbers can be assigned for cleaning categories. An activity number or a number of fixed minutes can be stored at the activity type level. This gives the cleaner more time if the corresponding activity type or a task in a particular cleaning category is scheduled. For example, if a cleaner is to receive additional time for a lavabo, this can be set here.
If you check the box for Column cleaning, then several tours must clean the area on the same day. A typical application is, for example, a machine tour that cleans the floor and a normal tour that cleans the edges.
