With an OR rule, n-activity types can be linked in the same category. Of these activity types, only the one with the lowest frequency appears from all the activity types due. In addition to the OR rule on the activity types, there is also an OR rule on the category level.
Example of the OR rule
In the following example, the floor is to be cleaned six times manually (activity type "Mopping the floor") and once by machine (activity type "Machine cleaning") in a seven-day week. This can only be stored with daily fixings. However, if the system is to be able to plan dynamically, this can be set with an OR rule at activity type level.
To ensure correct planning, an additional execution must be added to the activity type that has the higher frequency. The OR rule then shifts this additional execution in favor of the activity type with the lower frequency.
In this specific example, this means that a frequency of 7 times per week must be stored for the activity type "Mopping the floor" and a frequency of 1 time per week for the activity ytpe "Machine cleaning", and the OR rule must be activated. The system then schedules the "Mopping the floor" activity type 6 times a week and the "Machine cleaning" activity type once a week.
Add OR rule
Via the main tab Cleaning process, the sub-tab Activity types and the button +Add OR rules, activity types that are in the same category can be linked. To do this, the desired checkboxes are selected and the OR-rule is activated by clicking on Save.
The activity types linked to the OR rule are marked with the following symbol:
The OR-rule can be deleted again using the three-dot menu next to the activity types.
Function
- The OR rule takes effect immediately after saving the OR rule on the activity types.
- If only one activity type of an OR group is activated on a surface type, the OR rule for this surface type is not taken into account.
