Edit building plan

After the Go Live, it is always possible that floors will be remodeled. With the help of the building plan editor, superusers can make these changes in the cockpit. Rooms can be merged, split, or moved.

ℹ️Since these changes can affect the current planning, editing a building plan is only possible in a planning version.

Open building plan editor

The building plan editor can be found in a planing version under Economic Entity > Areas. Right next the building plan, you can open the editor by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Edit building plan.

The building plan appears in form of empty areas, with each representing a room. These areas can now be adjusted.

Above the building plan is a list of the functions required for editing.

After clicking on the Navigate icon, the building plan can be clicked and moved (drag and drop) for editing.

Move

By clicking on the Move icon, an area can be selected and moved to another location (drag and drop).

Separate areas

Clicking on the Split icon allows you to divide an area into several areas or draw a wall. After selecting the icon, click to select the desired area. Then click on the point where you want the new wall to start and drag to the point where you want the wall to end while holding down the mouse button. A line will appear. The line can be finished by releasing the mouse button. To draw a wall at an exact 90-degree angle, press Shift.

Combine Areas

To merge two areas into one, select the Union icon. Select the first area with a click. Use the Ctrl key to select the second area. Then click on the Union icon again. Areas can only be merged if they touch or overlap. 

ℹ️ If the areas do not touch, the first step is to use the move function to bring them together and save the change. In the second step, the areas can then be merged.

Other Tools

Using the Undo and Redo arrow icons, you can switch between the last step performed and the current step as desired.

Once all desired changes have been made to the plan, they can be saved in the planning version by clicking on the check mark icon.

If you want to exit the editor without making any changes, you can do so by clicking on the cross icon.

💡 The area types will change, especially when diving or merging areas. Therefore, please check the area types and tour assignments and run a simulation before activating the planning version.
