The correction factor is used when the effective cleaning area of a room is significantly smaller than the total area.

Example
A classic example of a room whose cleaning-relevant area is significantly smaller than the total area is a storage room. If the storage room is 20 m2 in size, but the shelves block 10 m2, i.e. half of the area, the correction factor is 0.5 (calculation: 10 m2/20 m2 = 0.5).
