Upload building plans
Using the following steps, new building plans can be uploaded or existing plans can be updated:
- Click on the Economic entity menu item in the main menu and select the Building overview tab.
- Via the Upload building plans button, new or existing building plans can be uploaded.
- Subsequently, the mask with the process for uploading building plans appears.
The process consists of 5 steps:
- Select data
- Select layer
- Validate data
- Assign area types (if function is selected)
- Upload
Step 1 - Select data
PNG and DXF files can be selected using the + Add files button. The selected files appear in the list. The button Select Layers takes you to the next step.
Step 2 - Select layers
In this step, the necessary layers must be selected and the plans must be assigned to the floors. Only layers that are present on all plans will be displayed. If the layers on the plans have different names, the plan upload must be executed several times.
Boundary layer
The boundary of the plan is expected on this layer. If the layer has the name CLEANING_BOUNDING_BOX (or INTELLICLEAN for historical reasons), the layer will be selected automatically.
Cleaning surface layer
The cleaning surface polygons must be located on this layer. If the layer has the name CLEANING_SHAPES (or for historical reasons RAUMPOLYGON), the layer will be selected automatically.
Cleaning area name layer
If the surface names are available on a layer as block attribute or as text, the surface names can be taken over automatically.
The index indicates the position of the name. 1 = first line.
By activating the box Overwrite existing data, all existing data will be overwritten by the newly uploaded data.
To combine room book and floor plan upload, one must first upload the room book with correct area sizes. Then, when uploading the floor plan, you can check the Match existing cleaning areas to shapes box, which will add the plan information to the existing areas.
Area type layer
If the area types are available on a layer as a block attribute or as text, the surface types can be transferred automatically. Assigning the surface types to the existing DXF designations is done in step 4.
Step 3 - Validate data
This step displays which changes exist in the plan that have not yet been adjusted in the Soobr Cockpit.
Column | Meaning |
Building | Floor | Assignment from current plan |
Boundary layer | Shows whether the boundary layer is valid. If the boundary layer is not valid, the plan will not be uploaded. |
Unit | The currently selected unit of measurement in the plan |
New areas | Number of new areas in the plan |
Changed areas | Number of areas for which the shape has been changed |
Deleted areas | Number of surfaces that are present in the Soobr Cockpit, but are no longer present in the plan. |
Background Image | Shows whether the background image exists and is valid. If it is not valid, the plan will be uploaded but the image will be ignored. |
Step 4 - Assign surface types
In this step, if a layer with surface types has been selected, the surface types can be assigned to the plan surface types. The settings are saved and will be available again when you upload another plan. However, the settings are not saved until a valid plan is uploaded.
Step 5 - Upload
If the adjustment is confirmed with Execute, the adjustments are carried out and the result is displayed directly on the floor overview.
Important! Surfaces that are deleted are irrevocably deleted and cannot be recovered!
Requirements for the plans to be uploaded
In order to upload the plans smoothly in soobr, there are some requirements for the plans. It is best to download the template which covers all requirements.
General
- You need a layer called CLEANING_BOUNDING_BOX with the RGB code 191/127/255. This layer is drawn as a frame around the building and specifies which window should be displayed in the app.
DXF plan
- A layer with the name CLEANING_SHAPES is needed. On this layer all surfaces, which want to be used in the system as single surfaces, must be drawn.
PNG plan
- For the export of the PNG plan in AutoCAD: A layer must be selected that is shown (preferably the layer on which the floor plans of the building are drawn). Then, before exporting, the whole content must be selected (e.g. via CTRL+A).
