If the assignments to the groups are not made via interface, there are two options in the cockpit. The assignments can be stored via an upload or manually in the Area Group Assignment level.
Assignment via upload
A room list can be downloaded using the Download button. This list shows the corresponding building, floor, reference ID, area name, and area type of each area. If categories have already benn created in the Area Groups Catalog tab, these are also displayed.
The corrseponding group can then be stored for each area in the download.
The upload can then be performed using the Upload and Compare button. The comparison view list all areas where a group has been reassigned, the area group has been changed, or deleted. The arrow on the right can be used to display a drop-down menu with detailed information
The upload is completed when you click Save.
Manual assignment
Assignments can be made manually using the Add button. Clicking this button opens the following settings window:
Here, you can use the filters to specify the area(s) to which an allocation should be assigned. The area group settings are then made using the + Add category button. The category is selected under Category of the area group and the area group/multiple area groups are selected under Name of the area group. If multiple categories need to be stored, another category can be added using the + Add category button.
If the setting Activate share/distribution key is active on the economic entity, this information can also be stored. This means taht if, for example, several cost centres are active on one area, the percentage that is posted to each cost center can be divided up.
If the Activate validity period setting is active, this can also be stored here.
Once the validity period has expired, the stored area group will no longer be included in the evaluations in Analytics.
Both settings can be activated and applied individually or together.
The trash can icon can be used to delete settings that have been made.
Grouping areas in planning versions
The feature is versioned so that when a planning version is created, the data is copied and can be edited and changed in the planning version without affecting the data in the active version. Exception: If area groups are deleted, they are deleted from all plnning versions available on the economic entity!
