This article explains how to log a device (tablet or smartphone) out of the kiosk mode and then reset it back into the kiosk mode.
Note: The code to log out of the kiosk mode can only be obtained from your Customer Success Manager or the Customer Support team.
Logging a device out of the kiosk mode
Here's how to remove a device from kiosk mode:
- Press and hold the power button
- A selection menu will appear (Power off / Restart / "Soobr beenden")
- Select "Soobr beenden" to exit the kiosk mode
- Enter the code (provided by the soobr team upon request)
- Confirm
- The device is now no longer in kiosk mode
Reset device back to the kiosk mode
To reset the device back to the kiosk mode:
- Open the device settings
- Select About tablet / smartphone (the term may vary slightly depending on the model)
- Navigate to Software Information
- Open Knox Configure
- Select Soobr AG
- Update (this will also download the latest profile to the device)
- The device is now set back into kiosk mode
Important note
To ensure that the devices function smoothly:
- Leave devices (for operation) in kiosk mode
- Avoid making changes to the system
- Contact support if you have any questions or problems
If the code is not available or you encounter problems entering/exiting kiosk mode, please contact your CSM or support directly.
